Farah Namazie| Farah has worked in the field of Intellectual Property & Technology law since starting private practice in 1991, with a leading law firm in Singapore. She left private practice to work as in house counsel for Apple Computer Inc. where she worked on a range of technology law issues as well as software licensing and outsourcing projects. Returning to practice to start one of Singapore’s specialist IP law firms, she has since been involved comprehensively in the practice of Intellectual Property law. She has represented and works closely with a large number of international clients in both their IP portfolios and technology law work, focusing on IPR protection and IP transactional work. |

graduate of
Oxford University, with a Masters in Intellectual Property &
Commercial law
from the University of London, she has published and lectured on IP
&
Technology law internationally.. She
is a member of Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), International
Trademark Association (INTA), Association of Singapore Patent Agents
(ASPA),
European Community Trademark Association (ECTA) and the Asean IPA and
is a
registered patent agent in Singapore.
Outside of work, Farah is a full time mother and a member of AWARE, a Singapore association for equal rights for women.

Boon Bassi

Sakolwan
Bassi manages the
Trademark department in Namazie &
Co. Prior to joining Namazie & Co., Sakolwan worked
for 4
years in the Zurich Intellectual Property firm of E. Blum &
Co., in
Switzerland. She has extensive experience in international
trademark practice and management, as well as in European Community IP
Protection and Madrid Protocol applications. Sakolwan is
fluent
in 3 languages, namely English, Thai and German. She
graduated
from the Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand in 1992 in
Journalism and Mass Communication, and has a Masters degree in Mass
Communication from the University of South Alabama, Mobile, Alabama.

Before
embarking on a career in
Intellectual Property, Sakolwan worked
as a translator, journalist and publisher in Zurich and Berne. She was
also a former columnist and news reporter for the foreign affairs
section at Khaosod Newspaper, Bangkok. In Singapore, Sakolwan
was
also a volunteer worker as an education adviser at the United States
Education Information, (USEIC). Namazie & Co.
